Presentation copy, inscribed by Duncan to the poet Helen Adam and her sister on the inner front wrapper: "for Helen and Pat / "Ma qui la morta poesi risurga, / O sante Muse, poiche vostio sono" / Let dead poetry rise up again / O holy Muse, for I am yours -- / with love, / Robert". Accompanied by a 4 7/8 x 7 6/8 inch original unsigned drawing by Duncan of a leopard in repose tipped to a slightly larger sheet. Extreme edges of the front wrapper faintly tanned, otherwise a fine copy. Large, thin 8vo, cover and title-page illustrations by Duncan, original stapled illustrated wrappers.
