Presentation copy, inscribed on the front free endpaper by Stein to her friend, Jo Mielziner, one of the most influential theater designers of the Twentieth Century, including among his credits such classic American plays and musicals as Carousel, Guys and Dolls, The King and I, Death of a Salesman, The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, among hundreds of other productions. Mielziner also designed theaters at Lincoln Center and at Wake Forest University. 8vo, original cloth, dust jacket. Fine copy in somewhat dust-soiled & sunned jacket with small repairs at extremities.
