POUND, Ezra.
The Cantos.
London: Faber & Faber, (1968). New Collected edition (cantos 1-109), second impression. Inscribed in Italian by Pound on the half-title page: "a la (_?) Diana B(_?). augri (_?) feliciter. Ezra Pound. Venezia fifth of march 1971". After being released from St. Elizabeth's Hospital in 1958, Pound resided in Florence, Italy as a semi-recluse until his death in 1972. Signed copies of this era, containing the vast majority of his published Cantos, are rare. 8vo, black cloth, dust jacket. Faint damp stain to top edge, not affecting text, otherwise a fine copy in somewhat rubbed & soiled jacket, with a few tiny nicks along top & bottom edges. |
