One of only 10 deluxe lettered copies specially bound in full vellum, dated and signed by Davenport, from a total edition of 125 copies. Crane A22. In his Introduction to 50 DRAWINGS (N.Y.: Dim Gray Bar Press, 1996) Davenport writes of THE BOWMEN, "There are printers and designers who see what I'm up to, and Leslie Miller's beautiful edition of THE BOWMEN OF SHU is a perfect, and beautiful, example of realizing a text that is both writing and drawing...". 4to, with 12 illustrations by the author and five reproductions of drawings by Gaudier-Brzeska, original full limp vellum, in publisher's cloth folding box by Claudia Cohen.
